Hello Deathbomb Friends! Last newsletter of the year! But don’t be sad. Next week is the first newsletter of 2012! Woohoo! Anyway, this one i particularly wordy, so I’ll just send you this video greeting card of holiday cheer before we get started: http://vimeo.com/34184287 1. What did we do this year? 2. What did Foot Village do this year? 3. What did Captain Ahab do this year? 4. Our...
A little holiday greeting from all of us at Deathbomb Arc and little baby Darkseid.
A Christmas song I wrote in 1997. Featuring guest vocals from Santa himself. Its a slow burn, so hang in there :)
Jonathan Snipes of Captain Ahab and William Hutson of Rale just finished their score to a documentary called ‘Room 237’, about conspiracy theories surrounding the film ‘The Shining’. This is the first leak from the score.
For those that don't read the DBA newsletter

Deathbomb Newsletter: Tue Dec 20
Hello Deathbomb Friends, Hanukkah begins tonight. Personally, I think it is a more interesting holiday than Christmas because, like most celebrations in Judaism, it is still so heavily tied to ritual. Not trying to start anything, just the boring Religious Studies major in me talking. As if I practice any sort of religion. That said, why don’t I just undermine all this by committing...
STILL SINGLE: High Castle – Spirit of the West LP... →
still-single:
The dream of the ‘90s is alive in Oakland. High Castle follows up their high-velocity one-sided 12” with a more methodical, historically steeped full-length, ringing out those ‘90s platitudes of militant-style vocals (singer Erin Smith sounds like she’s auditioning for Spitboy, or maybe The…
Foot Village drops teaser vid for their new album. Teaser audio features Matt Loveridge on synths.

Teaser vid for our new album coming out in 2012.
Deathbomb alums, Obsidian Pond, just dropped this Christmas album! Gorgeous stuff from a loop master. With enough wine in them, your folks may even dig this one. Soundcloud embedded here, download it free at mediafire.
Here is IE’s orig version of “Kim ILL”. Also a free download!
footvillage:
Since Kim Jong Il was awesome enough to die at the age of 69, we’ve made our cover of I.E.’s “Kim ILL” a free download on our bandcamp.
What? How did I not know about this. High Castle debuted a music video for “Bee Medal” last month. So maybe you all have seen it. But if not, watch this! Amazing song, great vhs textures, and just how good do they look when singing together? So good! Right??? Geez. This is good.
NEW E&E!!! NEW E&E!!! NEW E&E!!!
E&E has been one of most absolute favorite acts here at Deathbomb for the last couple years. A new ep from him is a case to celebrate for sure! Yes!!
More Deathbomb fans...
…follow us on tumblr than on twitter. While it might not be punk to endorse any type of social site, this still makes me think that everyone reading this is really fucking cool. Thanks for following, listening, and supporting. This post not “sent to twitter”.
Deathbomb Newsletter: Wed Dec 14
Hello Deathbomb Friends! While it was a busy week in my life, it was also a slow week for news. So this week’s newsletter comes at your as just a few bullet point style blast offs. Got a lot of prep going on behind the scenes here for the debut of the 2nd year of the digi club (first week of jan!), Deathbomb’s 100th release, a new Foot Village album, and tons more. In the meantime,...
Back in October, I became fascinated with this teaser vid for an album composed on 8 Sega Megadrives. Composed in collaboration between little-scale and dot-ay, the album is now available via bandcamp. The album is called Loom. I highly recommend it. It is a breath of fresh air in the world of video game system generated music. Don’t miss out!
New music on Beer On The Rug
The Beer On The Rug label likes to release music with no explanation / in the mode of confusion. But it sounds good. Check it out:

“Unlike fellow company with pop-culture-appropriated names (e.g. Natalie Portman’s Shaved Head et al.) Back to the Future the Ride’s ambient and at times noisy sounds are surprisingly fitting with the ’80s sci-fi comedy franchise extension. Miller, ostensibly a time travel enthusiast, conjures bent timelines where present/futuristic glitches touch classicism of the...
Captain Ahab newsletter
Well, we’ve talked about doing this for years and now we finally have. There is now a newsletter/email list just for Captain Ahab updates. If you have ever downloaded from the Captain Ahab bandcamp, you’ve already been added to the list (cuz you opted in when you downloaded). If you have not downloaded from the Ahab bandcamp and would like to join, you can do so...
Deathbomb Newsletter: Tue Dec 6
Hello Deathbomb Friends! Welcome to December! So far this month our home has been attacked by 150mph+ winds that knocked out electricity for days, there was a black widow attack that ended up with a visit to the emergency room due to scary nervous system fits, and our cat Leroy is back on the killing game. Maybe 2012 will be the end of the world. Or maybe just a tough week. In any case, I’m...
