Deathbomb Arc

There is a very cool, and definitely very unique event going on in San Francisco tomorrow. If you can make it there, it gets a Deathbomb highest recommendation. Entitled Ravenous Caverns: An Evening of Live Eco-Soundscapes, this film and music event has been put together by eco-artist Amanda Hendicks. Her extremely cutting edge approach to eco-art has always been both refreshing and disturbing. Definitely not your typical cutesy feel good environmentalism (see driving over a tree in a steamroller…). Some of you long time Deathbomb fans will know Amanda for her musical work as Ecomorti (she did a collaboration with Foot Village on the Pisspounder 3xLP which you can d/l for free!). 

For this event, Amanda will provide a field recording based electronic score to some very rare scientific films. Films with names like Modern Chrysanthemums and Cave Ecology. If this doesn’t excite the nerd in you, you may just want to throw out your “Geeks Do It With Joysticks” teeshirt right now.

This all goes down at Oddball Films tomorrow night. Seating is extremely limited, so be sure to rsvp.
