UK website, The 405, asked me to talk about bands that have influence my work writing music for the band Foot Village. Some of the influences I discuss might be obvious. rRope, the band I love so much that I reissued their entire discography this year. Huggy Bear, a band I wish I could bring back into print! Sword Heaven, one of the three bands that directly got me learning to play drums (the other two being Rainbow Blanket and Kill Me Tomorrow). The act that may be a surprise to you is Celine Dion. Perhaps it will scare a lot of people that she is one of my main influences on the new Foot Village coming out in Dec. I’m not here to make you feel safe though. So go ahead. Read the article.
