I can’t help but completely love anyone that is down to make new Halloween music. For the 2nd year in a row, the Chill Mega Chill label has assembled a comp of bands making new Halloween tracks, making them true label royalty in my view. This years comp is called ‘The Chiller Part 2: House on Haunted Chill’. In this post-chillwave time, you may be thinking their use of the word means something genre contemporary. Trust me though when I say that it is a much more 80s use of the word, as the sounds here are way more new wave than anything else. The results? Something perfect for any upbeat Halloween party. The comp mostly is acts I’m not familiar with, but the inclusion of Alligator Indian and Mediafired definitely peaked my attention.
